Visit by Presidents and Others of Foreign Patent Attorneys Associations

On January 13, 2017, Mr. David W. Hill (past president of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA)), Mr. Perry Wu Yang (president of the All - China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA)), Mr. Kyuwhan Oh (president of the Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA)) and others, Mr. Stephen Jones (vice president of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA)), Mr. Jeremy Dobbin (president of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia (IPTA)), and Mr. Takao Ochi (president of the Japan Group of Patent Attorneys Association (APAA)) and others visited the IP High Court.
 
Chief Judge Ryuichi Shitara explained the details of mock trials held on September 23, 2016, in Paris under the theme of collection of evidence and introduced the general outline of the International Symposium on Intellectual Property Litigation (provisional name) to be held in Tokyo for three days from October 30, 2017. The presidents and others of the abovementioned associations also introduced the latest information about circumstances surrounding their respective countries and an active questions and answers session was held.
