Visit by International Students under the WCO Scholarship Program

On May 14, 2018, 21 international students, custom officials from various countries participating in the WCO (World Customs Organization) Scholarship Program, visited the IP High Court as part of the lecture, “Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement at the Border.”
After observing the rendering of the judgment in a courtroom, the students were given an explanation from Presiding Judge Yoshiyuki Mori and Judge Daisuke Kumagai of the Second Division on the outline of the IP High Court, the technical advisor system, the practice in the IP High Court, and an overview of the court ruling that they observed. After holding an active Q&A session regarding the explanation, they toured the office of judicial research officials and received an explanation about the Judicial Research Official System from a judicial research official.
