The Intellectual Property High Court has been hosting the Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property / TOKYO (JSIP) annually since 2017, co-hosted by the Supreme Court, the Ministry of Justice, the Japan Patent Office, the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, and IP Lawyers Network Japan, as an opportunity to provide information on IP-related litigation in Japan to overseas, as well as to obtain information on foreign countries.
The Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property / Tokyo 2020 will be held at 8pm JST on Thursday January 21, 2021 on the theme of "Latest Developments and Challenges in IP Judiciary in Japan, the United States and Europe".
This is the fourth symposium following the Judicial Symposium on Intellectual Property 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The Symposium will take place online and legal experts from Japan, the United States and Europe are going to have a panel discussion about latest challenges and topics in IP disputes. Live stream of the panel discussion will be delivered on the Internet.
(Live stream is free, simultaneous English-Japanese interpretation will be provided.)
